Q. What is the cost to be mentored?
A. In reality absolutely nothing except the cost of the
phone call.
Q. So how can we afford to provide this
service?
A. Healthy Mentors give of their time freely and
therefore the costs are virtually none.
Q.
What happens if I'm under the care of a hospital or a
Doctor?
A. Healthy Mentors are not there to give medical advice at
any time and none of the programme is designed or to be
taken as a substitute for a Doctors care. Healthy Mentors
will not diagnose treat or prescribe anything and will
always refer people back to their responsible health
provider. What they will do is share their experiences with
you.
Q. How long will Healthy Mentors work
with someone?
A. Provided someone is willing to work we will work with
them - days, weeks, months or even years.

What happens if I don't get on with a Healthy Mentor
can I swap?
A. Probably but jumping from one to another is not helpful.
Q. Are there circumstances where Healthy Mentors will
cease to work with someone?
A. Yes. If the person becomes abusive, keeps asking for
advice/help but fails to take any personal responsibility
and refuses/is unable to make any changes.

What happens if I have a complaint against he Healthy
Mentor?
A. Stop calling them.
Q. Why do you do this?
A. We all have direct or personal experience of being sick
or having a family member who is sick and based upon the
help and support given by Healthy Mentors we just
want to put something back. If you are really

Q. Can anyone become a
Healthy Mentor
A. In essence yes but in order to protect the concept we
will interview prospective candidates and if accepted will
then commence a training programme with an experienced
Healthy Mentor Tutor.
Q. What is the cost
to train as Healthy Mentor?
A. Just your time and a willingness to listen to other
people.
Q. Do you give any guarantees?
A. Only that we will do our part to help you - you must be
prepared to do your part.
